INDIANAPOLIS –  MKR has received two awards in the 43rd Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards for campaigns created in partnership with Community Health Network, recognizing work that supported cancer patients and elevated patient storytelling across central Indiana.

MKR earned a Gold Award in the Total Fund Raising/Development Campaign category for Community Health Network Foundation’s Giving Gig and a Silver Award in the Total Advertising Campaign category for Community Health Network MD Anderson Cancer Center.

The Healthcare Advertising Awards is one of the nation’s largest and most recognized healthcare advertising competitions. This year’s program received more than 4,300 entries, with winners selected by a national panel of judges based on creativity, quality, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design and overall impact.

“These awards are a meaningful recognition of the work our team has had the privilege to create alongside Community Health Network for many years,” said Peter Kim, President and Chief Creative Officer at MKR. “We’re grateful for the trust Community has placed in our team and proud to support work that makes a real difference for patients and families.”

The Gold-winning Giving Gig campaign supported Community Health Network Foundation’s annual cancer fundraising event, which benefits patients in need through the Oncology Patient Assistance Fund. For the 2025 event, MKR developed a new logo and visual identity, on-site signage, promotional advertising, photography, television and social media content, and a music video under the unifying theme “Ready to Shine.” Giving Gig raised more than $2.1 million in 2025.

Through creative built around patients’ personal environments, support systems and care teams, the campaign was designed to reflect the strength, optimism and resilience of survivors while also spotlighting the personalized care they receive through Community Health Network MD Anderson.

“We had the opportunity to work closely with Community Health Network for almost eight years, and one of the things that stands out most is how deeply committed their team is to the people they serve,” said Maggie Branson, Group Account Director at MKR. “These campaigns were rooted in real stories, real needs and real impact. It’s incredibly special to see that work recognized, especially when it helps shine a light on the support available to patients and families navigating cancer.”

MKR has partnered with Community Health Network for more than a decade, supporting the health system through strategic marketing, creative development and campaign execution across a range of initiatives. The latest honors reflect both organizations’ continued commitment to work that not only reaches audiences, but also supports patients, families and caregivers throughout their cancer journeys.
